We will have our financial planning session "Building Black Wealth" with Jamal Threlkeld on Wednesday, October 27, at 7:30 PM EST! Please invite other Black physicians and students you know, so that we can have a good turnout for our guest speaker.

Jamal's tenure as a Wealth Management Advisor began in February 2013 with additional experience in Banking since 2008. Over the years, he has been very involved in his practice; speaking at numerous engagements both locally and nationally. Jamal’s practice expanded from solely Memphis-based to a practice centered in Brentwood, Tennessee that continues to assist many clients with their holistic financial goals across the globe. He is a proud Alumni of Christian Brothers University, in Memphis, TN where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Business Administration with Finance Concentration. 

Through his work in the community, Jamal sat as Vice-Chair for the New Memphis Institute’s Embark Alumni Board, VP of Professional Events of the Epsilon Psi Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity, and Polemarch of the Omicron Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Jamal currently sits as the treasurer of the Collegiate Life Investment Foundation which is a non-profit designed to raise awareness of the dangers of distracted driving.

In December 2017, Jamal gained accreditation with the Beyond the Exam Room Program for Healthcare professionals. The 3-course program presented first-hand information taught by Medical Doctors on various topics covering the evolving needs and challenges of the modern healthcare system. Jamal is also a Wealth Management Contributor for Kiplinger Finance Magazine. 

Over the years, Jamal has had the honor of speaking to a number of medical, dental, and legal graduate programs throughout the states which include: Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, Meharry Medical College, Morehouse Graduate School of Medicine, The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, The University of Mississippi Medical College, The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and Vanderbilt Law School. In addition, he was also asked to speak at the 2016 Convention and Scientific Assembly Conference for the National Medical Association in Los Angeles, California. 

Jamal is married to his lovely wife Essence and they have three daughters Chloe, Olivia, and Elliana who couldn’t be more amazing!
