The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect healthcare delivery of HIV and HCV prevention and treatment. Clients may experience negative health outcomes due to limited or restricted access to antiretroviral therapy prescriptions, HIV primary care services, hepatitis C (HCV) clinical services, adherence counseling, PrEP, and other support services. Many providers are filling these gaps in care by implementing telehealth programs.
This two-hour virtual summit will provide information on the state of telehealth today by bringing together experts to highlight what is happening in the field and to share lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic. The summit will break out into three concurrent sessions with guest speakers to discuss key components of telehealth implementation: technology infrastructure for telehealth, client engagement in telehealth, and strategies for provider readiness.
